This year after the lettuce died down I decided to replace my planters with something simple and easy to grow. I chose white petunias for this hanging basket and the two railing planters on the upper deck. Petunias are pretty simple, but they can take heat and dry soil and still look good.
That's why yesterday I went back to Chapman's Greenhouse for their 50% off sale and bought more white petunias. Not because that's all they had, they have a lot of great annuals. I plan to replace the ivy geranium and lobelia in the railing planters with more petunias. Both planters will have only petunias, unless I can find more of the lobelia shown in the photo above.
